I am participating in Relay for Life in April to help raise awareness for and raise money for cancer (all types). This is my second year to participate in this awesome event. This year I will honor three people that are close to me.
Megann (in her 30's)--Megann died last May of ovarian cancer. She fought hard, and her story can be read on her blog. http://megannupdates.blogspot.com
Brad (in his 30's)--Brad is a very dear friend that is suffering from Chondrosarcoma (tumor in the cartilage). The cancer was removed but has returned in his lung.
Pam (in her 40's)--Pam discovered breast cancer this year. She had a lumpectomy, and she is currently receiving radiation treatments.
Cancer is not something that anyone can control, but finding a cure is! I am walking with a team from my school and trying to raise money for this disease so good people like the ones I am walking for do not have to suffer anymore.
